The Gitane D-500 is a premium Selmer-style guitar renowned for its rich tone and exquisite craftsmanship. It features a solid Sitka spruce top with traditional fan bracing, delivering a powerful, resonant sound ideal for gypsy jazz. The body, crafted from Indian rosewood, is adorned with elegant multi-ply ebony and maple bindings, and a grand bouche soundhole design for enhanced projection.
The neck is solid mahogany with an ebony fingerboard and 24 frets, providing smooth playability and a wide range of notes. The guitar’s vintage-toned high gloss finish and traditional slotted headstock highlight its classic aesthetic, while the ebony movable mustache-style bridge and dyed rosewood saddle ensure superior tone and intonation.
Equipped with standard gold-plated tuning machines, a zero-fret bone string guide, and recommended Parisian by Gitane Manouche medium gauge strings, the D-500 offers both exceptional performance and visual appeal. Please note the cosmetic wear near the bridge and a few dings on the back.
