Here’s a 60's Silvertone Model 1457 Amp-In-Case Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar, made by Danelectro in Neptune, NJ.
Featuring a vibrant red/black sunburst finish with sparkles, it has a Masonite and pine body, a poplar neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and comes with its original grey hard shell case and Masonite amp case.
This model, sold exclusively through Sears, is a classic 1960s Danelectro guitar with a full-scale neck and versatile tones. It boasts a double cutaway body with sharp "horns," a white Masonite pickguard, and a Dan-O chrome plate bridge with a rosewood saddle. The paddle headstock has a Silvertone logo and skate key-style tuners. It features two Dan-O lipstick pickups controlled by a 3-way switch and concentric tone/volume pots.
The integrated amp and case are surprisingly good-sounding, though the amp case shows some wear from over 50 years of use. The guitar is original and unmodified, with some dings and paint chips but remains a great player. Please note that it's missing a section of fabric on the binding. The amp has been updated with a 3-prong cord and still performs well. Overall, this set is in excellent condition and remains a fantastic piece of 1960s vintage gear.
