Here's a 1978 Fender Musicmaster Bass, a classic short-scale model designed as a student-friendly and cost-effective alternative to the Precision Bass. Produced from 1970 to 1983, it features an alder body with a durable poly finish, a maple neck with a 4-bolt neck joint, and a rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets.
This bass offers a 30" scale length, a 7.25" fingerboard radius, and a neck width of 1.628" at the nut and 2.070" at the 12th fret. Weighs 8 lbs, 7.5 oz. It’s equipped with a single-coil pickup and chrome hardware, all of which are in excellent condition.
The instrument shows play wear with scratches on the front and back, but the neck remains in pristine condition, and there’s plenty of fret life left. This bass has been set up by our in-house luthier, and is ready for the stage/studio!
