The 1966 Fender Vibro-Champ is a classic tube combo amp that embodies the evolution of Fender’s affordable student models. Hailing from the Fullerton factory, it represents the shift from the 5F1 Champ to the updated "black panel" design. This iconic amp features Fender’s signature vibrato effect, making it the first time an onboard effect was included in the Vibro-Champ, and retains the bass and treble tone stack introduced in the mid-1960s.

With a 6V6 power tube and a 10" speaker, offering rich cleans that develop into a dynamic overdrive when pushed. This example has been serviced with several key upgrades, including the repair of the tremolo circuit and the replacement of components to improve its stability. It also has a three-prong AC cable installed for safety and the "death cap" has been removed. The pots, jacks, and sockets have been cleaned for optimal performance, and the original speaker has been swapped out for a Jupiter speaker, providing enhanced tonal clarity. It’s an excellent-sounding classic Fender amp that’s been serviced and upgraded for reliable, long-term use.
