The 1965 Univox U-45B is a charming all-tube amp from Japan, notable for its distinctive speckled charcoal fabric covering and vintage appeal. This early Univox model combines Japanese craftsmanship with American assembly, featuring RCA tubes and a Jensen 12" C12R speaker.
 
Originally marketed as a bass amp, the U-45B uses multifunction 6BM8 tubes for a modest 10 watts of power, offering surprisingly rich depth and low-end response. It includes a simple control panel with three instrument inputs, volume, tone, and a smooth tremolo effect with speed control. The amp's compact size—16.5" high, 15" wide, and 10.25" deep—makes it ideal for home use or recording sessions, delivering crisp cleans and warm overdrive at manageable volumes.
 
Cosmetically, the amp is in excellent shape for its age, with minor wear on the fabric covering and a clean grille cloth.
